The first time I walked the digital photography classroom I got a whiff of film, batteries, and an old dude name Mr. O'Donnell. The odor was so different to me but as time went on I have gotten familiar with it to the point that in a febreeze commercial I think I would smell this over the Febreeze. Now I do joke about this because its a way for me to feel more comfortable about being here but in reality I am deeply sad that I will not be able to come here again. This class felt like a home. A safe haven for me to come and feel welcomed. Now at times I wasn't always serious and may not have tried as hard as I could've, I still had good intentions. I think being in this atmosphere really elevated my camera skills. Throughout the 2 classes I took Mr. O'Donnell has guided me like Jesus through thick and thin. I felt through this class my skills were drastically different than at the beginning. I can still remember my first photo assignment. I remember wielding the camera and thinking this could be my future. I felt like an artist with a canvas that I would be able to create. Overall this class gave me a new skill set I could not have achieved if I had not taken it. My photoshop skills improved greatly and same goes for my photo skills. Looking forward I hope to keep my camera with my into my late 80's just like Mr. O'Donnell. Thank you for everything OD. I cant wait to see where this will take me.

For this weeks assignment we were told to strengthen our skills with photoshop or photography. I chose to do tutorials that dealt with basketball because it was the NBA Playoffs right now. I chose to do a jersey swap and a masking tutorial. This is the final product: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aied5uNZ25Y https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTDMnT2GOAE I really liked these because I used to mess around and do this back in the day on photoshop and to go back and retouch and regain some old skills is nice. I feel throughout the trimester I have gotten better at my skills. Fun week to end the school year.
For photo 8 we were assigned to take pictures of a given topic. I went to Dexter and took a couple. Here are the results: Original Framed f 6.3 Shutter speed: 1/80 ISO: 100 I had a lot of fun with these. I went to Dexter back in the fall in 2017 and took these and found these and thought I would use them for a photo assignment. It was a weeee bit cold but lots of fun.
For this weeks assignment we were assigned to make a duplicate image of an advertisement. I chose two ads that I thought were challenging but simple in the end product. Here is the end result: Personally I love doing any photoshop assignment if its not too lengthy. This was fun to do because I was able to relearn some skills I had lost. Overall fun assignment!
For this weeks assignment I decided to do event. A couple weeks ago there was a meeting called Grammy Night for giving awards to seniors at the school. I went as a paparazzi photographer and took pictures there. Here are the results: Original Photoshopped f stop: 5.6 Shutter: 1/60 ISO: 800 Overall this was a good time. I loved seeing all the seniors for one of the last times. It made me get a little emotional that some of these people that I have seen my whole life I may not see ever again. Fun assignment!
For this weeks objective we were tasked to take photos in the studio using lighting and angles to our advantage. Heres is the outcome: I had a lot of fun with this project since this is a pretty simple topic. I did have to run away from some bees and have to deal with Joey Popa but I'm over it.
This week we were tasked with taking our cameras it turning the settings down low to get light painting. Here is the outcome: Overall this was a fun assignment. I liked using lights to create something so artistic. Fun Times!
For this weeks assignment, we were tasked to further our photoshop skills by completing tutorials. We were given the objective of doing a polaroid photoshop tutorial and one other of our choice. I chose the face in a tree tutorial. Here are the results: I like both tutorials even though the face in a tree wasn't what I was hoping for. The polaroid was fun and creative and pretty easy once you got the hang of it. All in all I love the tutorials because I love photoshop.
For this weeks assignment, I tried to capture lots of detail by capturing macro. Original Photoshopped For this assignment, we were asked to take 9 pictures of something we collect. We were then asked to put them into a format known as typography using photoshop. I work at Hungry Howie's and I have a unlimited amount of pizzas that roll through the kitchen so I thought this would be a creative way to show off different variations of pizzas that are available at our establishment. It was fun, creative, and super tasty!
